Welcome

Welcome to our website!

We are an innovative primary school where a welcoming, safe and inclusive environment for our children and families is fostered. We are committed to providing each of our pupils with excellent learning opportunities in order for them to realise their unique talents and achieve their full potential.

Our most recent Ofsted inspection recognised that:

'Staff and pupils are happy and work collaboratively together. Pupils demonstrate good learning behaviours.' Ofsted, June 2017

Our curriculum aims to create a wide range of engaging opportunities for successful acquisition of knowledge and skills in and beyond the classroom. When we plan for the delivery of our curriculum, we take cognisance of the 3 I's in the New Ofsted Framework:

-  Intention: to provide a rich and varied curriculum for ALL our pupils to access and enjoy

-  Implementation: consideration of a variety of teachng and learning styles; engaging our

pupils in how they think they might learn best

- Impact: our pupils enjoy their learning and develop the skills and knowledge of subjects across the curriculum

Our focus on Visible Learning strategies promotes independence, develops resilience and encourages all our children to become inquisitive, life-long learners.

We want our children to be inspired to exceed their own expectations by attaining the very best results they can; personally, academically and creatively.

Our school is part of the REAch2 (Raising Educational Achievement for Children) Academy Trust. This is a family of 60 primary academies across the country who collaborate and share excellent practice in order to provide the very best education for all pupils.

Our website aims to give you a little peek into how special Water Lane Primary Academy is and serves as a means to provide up to date information for parents, pupils and the broader community. You are very welcome to make an appointment to come and visit our wonderful school.

We look forward to seeing you!
