"Enrichment for life"
Autumn 2
We got straight back in with our learning after a lovely half term break. We were introduced to the play of Macbeth and we used a comic strip and animation version to familiarise ourselves with the plot and characters. Our Science topic this half term is 'Properties and Changes of Materials'. We conducted several enquires to test the different properties of several materials. We were then able to consider the uses of materials and what makes them suitable choices.
A Royal Visit
Year 5 were taught the Washerwomen's Bransle by the one and only Henry VIII
Living History Experience/Tudor Day
We had the most incredible start to our week with a visit from royalty! Year 5 learnt so much from Henry VIII and his armourer and had lots of fun along the way. Thankfully, we are a well-behaved class and none of us saw the fate that many others (including 2 of his wives) did during the King's reign!
